Welcome to #CelebrateNurses

#CelebrateNurses is a positive recognition campaign that allows people to leave words of thanks, recognition and praise to nurses who have touched their lives – people they have cared for, worked with or mentored.  This website is the platform to celebrate nurses.  You do this by leaving a comment of thanks, a memory, an image or a blog and we will upload it onto the site and add it to our other comments. Read what people are saying here.

Join our initiative and “Thank a Nurse Today”! Let’s #CelebrateNurses!!

How It Started:
#CelebrateNurses began its life as an internal CSR project of Nurse Jobs Ireland in 2012 – since that time it has expanded to become a nationwide project which we hope will spread internationally.

How to Get Involved:
This space is for the public to leave words of thanks and praise for nurses who have touched their lives. Nurses are then able to read and feel appreciated for the amazing work that they do. We also feel strongly about promoting nursing as a career choice and for safe guarding the future of the nursing profession.

The platform is accessible 24/7, 365 for you to leave your comments of thanks in our guestbook below.

Annually we create an e-book of these comments for nurses to read.  As well as this, during International Nurses Week May 6th to 12th annually we collaborate, facilitate and partner with our companies, community groups and employers to #CelebrateNurses and to create greater awareness of this global celebration of Nurses.

  8. My mother passed away in the exceptional care of the nursing staff of the ICU in Tallaght Hospital in May 2016 and knowing that the standard of care was so good is what makes me so thankful, we have already dropped a few cases of wine in as a thank you but I thought I would just send this message as well! 9. Thank you to 2 very professional and caring nurses on the children’s ladybird ward in Cork University Hospital who looked after our child last year. 10. Thank you so much to 2 very professional and wonderful nurses on the Children’s Ward in Cork University Hospital. Their communication skills meant a more relaxed stay for us with our son last year. They explained every step of every process of his admission and gave simple and easy information and supportive advise for us for any future episodes. For us this meant we felt save in an environment that is often quite chaotic and frightening. Thank you 😊

  12. This year, my little cousin started nursing school. She has always been quick to help and genuinely interested in the welfare of people and I believe that these qualities will make her a good nurse as they are qualities I’ve seen in so many members of the nursing profession. She reports that juggling classes, assignments and shifts isn’t easy and yet seems more motivated than ever to complete her studies and become a fully trained nurse. So this International Nurses Day I would like to thank you for putting in all the hard-work you have both before and after qualifying and thank you for being the inspiration you are!

  13. To all Nurses. Thank you for taking on such a tough career to care for those who need to be cared for. The late nights, long shifts and challenging work days are beyond the kinds of challenges I’ve known in my life so far. I am grateful for this fact, but equally grateful that should I ever find myself or my loved ones in this position, there will be a nurse there to provide the care. Thank You Nurses!
