I never had any real experience with nurses until my dad got cancer and I can honestly say that the nurses in St. lukes in dublin made his final days so much easier for him and my family as we knew he was being so well looked after ,they were so caring and friendly it was hard to believe they have a tough job and they always had a smile on there face which really helped in bad times, mind you that could of been because my dad was one charming dude and they all loved him but either way they all deserve to be saints as they were amazing…… Real life super heroes

  4. When my Mam was dying from cancer in James hospital in 2009 there was a fantastic nurse there I think she was actually the Ward sister she helped my Mam so much especially to accept what was happening to her. She helped myself and and Dad and sisters and my brother get through a really tough time in our lives I want to say is a big thank you to iris who works on private three in James hospital

  5. I hate giving blood, blood tests, needles the whole process. When I had to get injections for Travelling to Thailand and to Australia I had a great nurse who calmed me down, gave me all the pros to why I need the injections and got them done ASAP. Great work

  6. I’m glad nurses are being shown the appreciation they deserve here. They are always the ones on hand to check-in with you on a regular basis, even throughout the night! It\’s a tough job and I respect them for it. So….Thank You!!

  7. Nursing is a vocation – no one will deny that! Thank You to our wonderful Nurses working across so many sectors in Ireland. Celebrate International Nurses Week as you deserve to!

  8. Nurses are the ones that really make the difference with people. They\’re the ones that make you feel like someone is trying their hardest to help and they give it their all. They deserve as much respect as anyone can give. (Also a raise, definitely a raise.)

  9. Having been born with a congenital heart defect I have always appreciated the hard work and dedication of nurses, not only for their medical skills but for their ability to comfort and relate to patients on a personal level. Thank you to the wonderful nurses who looked after me in Crumlin in 1990 post surgery. The present day nurses in Crumlin carry on the good work and my childhood best friend is now one of them. Another life long close friend is also a credit to the vocation. On behalf of those of us who rely on your good work xx
