  1. Thank you for the amazing job you do everyday of the year. I deal with nurses on a dailoy basis and have to say that they are truly fantastic in their jobs, so compassionate, caring and willing to go the extra mile- thank you again.

  2. How to begin to thank nurses for what they have done for my family? I have had a few family members in the care of the most professional and genuine people I have ever met. My grandparents both went through cancer treatment, as did my cousin Laura. They all sang the praises for the nurses that meant so much to them and to my family throughout their struggle.

I could keep going but I suppose all I want to say is thank you. Thank you for working long hours, thank you for looking after my family and thank you for looking after me.

  3. If I tried I could not express how much the lovely ladies from the Oncology Dept in The Hermitage, Dublin have helped me this year. You are all amazing & I admire you all & value the time I spend with you. I can see how well informed, efficient, professional, warm, honest & giving you are. You are indeed, heroes.
Thank you Fiona, Helen, Ann Marie, Eleanor & Maria.
If I\’ve missed out any names, sorry (Blame it on the after effects of treatment 😉 )! Lots of love to you all.

  4. To the nurses who looked after my dad during his time in James’s hospital, particularly Olivia the clinical nurse for the stroke unit, words cannot express how grateful I am for your time, hard work, dedication and caring nature towards not only my dad but all of us during a really hard time. Taking the time to explain to us and answer our questions and put our worries to rest means more than you will ever know. Thank you so much x

  5. Our family were blessed with the nurses from Irish Cancer Society and from St. Francis Hospice Raheny in 2012. My wonderful Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and the love and support we received from all the nurses we met helped us through a very sad an difficult time. Nurses are the unsung hero’s of our health system -they are the cog that keeps the wheel of our health system functioning. We are blessed to have such dedicated professionals in Ireland.

  6. I would like to thank the wonderful nurses at a nursing home in Falcarragh, Donegal for looking after my Uncle Jim so well the past few months. As much as he did not want to be in the home, you made his stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible – thank you so much!

  7. I am a kidney patient on in center dialysis and have fabulous nurses looking after me. Words cannot express my thanks and appreciation for all they do.

  8. Well done to all nurses everywhere.
Keep the chin up in these challenging times You make the difference to so many lives

  9. Made a mess of my hand once upon a time and had a complete D**k for a Doc, the situation wasn’t bad enough like. Then a nurse come to bandage me up, was a total sympathetic ear, listened to me moan, we had a few laughs, told me what to do to get back on track. She picked me up and dusted me off. Fair play to her… A class act

  10. As someone who has some involvement in a Nursing Home, (mainly visiting the Residents), I have to take my hat off (congratulate), the Nursing Staff, who have to, not only care for many high maintenance Residents, but also have to spend considerable amounts of time on the computer (against their will), writing up all the information relating to the care given during the previous hours. One very dedicated nurse said Nursing has changed, and she wishes she could do more hands-on.

  11. Nurses dont get enough credit for the work they do both in the community and hospitals. They are a vital part of our health care system. Amazing people.

  12. I have enjoyed my nursing career all my life and started in 1969
i have it more caring now than before , residents take priorty

  13. Thanks to all the nurses for the wonderful care they take of our patients in S.V.U.H. under difficult circumstances. I hope you can all continue to find fulfillment in your work. Please try and stay local in Ireland for work.
    sr. Breda

  14. Thanks to all the nurses I have ever had pleasure to meet while having my baby, being in hospital for treatment and those that treated my baby girl when she was sick. Thanks for the kind eyes, understanding words and professional & respectful treatment.

  15. Nursing is a vocation that requires a lifetime of commitment and compassion. Nurses are angels without wings and deserve every success and recognition that they get. Thanks to all the great nurses out there!!!!

  16. Thanks for every nurses for your very hard job. Don’t give up this is very special work but we must find in our heart a good spirit to help our patients. I work as a nurse for 13 years and I was a patient too. I have hope one day everything will be better and we’ll be work in better world. For every nurses I sent big smile – Aga.

  17. I’m going into nursing myself and after working a year as a healthcare assistant I can tell from experience that nurses are one of the hardest working set of people I have witnessed. It takes a lot of knowledge and courage to be a nurse. I’m looking forward to becoming a nurse and the challenge that comes with it is something that excites me even further.

  18. There was a nurse who took care of my son in crumlin when he was first born. Nurse london was her name. She was amazing. I wouldnt have got through that hard time without her. It turnes out she was from my home town as well. That was 16 years ago but ill never forget her.thanks so much x

  19. Thanks very much to all the nurses at the Regional Hospital Limerick who were always so kind and caring to be while I was a patient there in March.I had a tonsilectomy and their kindness and care helped to my speedy recovery ..

  20. Thanks so much to all the caring nurses at Milford Hospice Limerick for all their care and kindness to our lovely mother Rita who passed away .She looked forward to their visits and considered them to be her Guarding Angels,

  21. My mate Nathan is a nurse and I swear to god, he goes through so much in that job it’s a miracle he’s still alive and well. He works his ass off and puts in so much attention and care to what he does that it really highlights just how much praise these guys need: it’s by no means an easy job and we’d be lost without nurses like him. Thank you for all the late hours, all the patience, all the support and all of the times you’ve put yourself at potential risk to help others. Saints on earth. 🙂
