  11. Thank you nurses for all your care and compassion for all your patients.
You are all truly amazing and should be commended for your resilience and dedication.

  12. In praise of the wonderful nurses at the Mater and Connolly hospitals for your extraordinary kindness, compassion, and care. During challenging times for our parents, your warmth and attention brought immense comfort and reassurance to our family. This professionalism and empathy made such a big difference to their care and the time they spent in hospital. Thank you so much for everything you do.

  13. I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to all of the nursing staff who cared for me recently during my stay in SVPH. What a wonderful team of caring professionals.

  14. I want to salute the nurses of Oisin Ward in St Marys Phoenix Park who looked after our Mam a resident for 2 years. Our Mam had dementia and the care and support she received from the nurses was incredible. They not only looked after Mam, but the family as well. Watching a loved one disappear and not recognize you is very upsetting and you never knew what to expect during your visit. But the nurses where always there with a smile and support because they knew how upsetting a visit could be. During mams last days we received incredible support, not just words but actions, tea and coffee were on tap and all done with kindness and consideration without being intrusive. When our mam died on 3/9/2023, each nurse who looked after her, came and paid their respects. Incredible Angels and we can never thank them enough for what they did not just for mam but the family.

Thank You to all the nurses on the Oisin Ward in St Marys.

  15. Nurses have had the most enormously positive and life affirming impact on me, from the most important nurse I know – my Mum 😘 – who worked in later years for the Alzheimer’s Society and showed me the importance of dignity and respect when treating “clients” diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I would also like to give a shoutout to my client Aoife O’Shea who works in SVUH and who has shown such amazing dedication to her role over the years. Without these selfless women, our healthcare system would suffer greatly and we are blessed to have them ❤️

  16. Thank you to the amazing nurses and especially to the ones in my own family – Aunty Mary, Trisha, Eileen, my cousins Yvonne, Rhona and so many more – you change people’s lives for the better

  31. it wouldn’t b fair to single out an individual nurse, the entire NICU ward in WUH professionally supported my daughter whi was dorn at 660g & the nurses support to the parents & other family members was superb, these wonderful ladies are in my heart forever & I can never be grateful enough

  32. I had my son Jack during the pandemic and as a solo mother by choice, I was going in alone anyway to have him (pandemic or not). I was in the Rotunda and the end of August 2020. It was a difficult few days as I was induced and there was no sign of him coming, so I was starting to really worry.

It was decided I would have a c-section which was scary but I had come this far on my own, so knew whatever happened I would be ok being on my own and would be looked after. When I went into theatre to deliver my son, it hit me and it was such an emotional time – the room was full of doctors, surgeons, anaesthetists but on my right side was a lovely nurse, she had the most beautiful, calming energy and was like a comfort blanket to my right side through the whole experience.

She talked me through it all and held my hand and when Jack arrived, she handed him to me so gently. She took some amazing pictures of the whole experience for me and I have a gorgeous picture of her holding my son wrapped in a blanket with his teddy bear and me looking on.I will never forget it. I will be forever grateful to her for being like an angel over my right shoulder. Thank you so much for making an impact on my life and my birth experience.

Nurses are amazing humans, real superheroes and deserve all the recognition and gratitude in the world.

  33. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do, not just for your medical expertise but the constant kindness and patience you give to both your patients and their families.

  34. I was in hospital for a hernia op.. had to be in overnight.. was a bit stressful. The nurses were brilliant, calm, confident, competent — their presence makes such a difference.. They are the unsung heroes in the hospital..

    Blessings on you all!

    Rob

  35. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at St. Christopher’s ward in St. Vincent’s Hospital. This ward specializes in caring for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, a condition that affects my family. My aunt received her treatments in this unit before she passed away.

The nurses showed exceptional kindness to my aunt and our family during our visits. Hospital stays for Cystic Fibrosis patients are socially isolating due to the risk of cross-infection, making it especially challenging. However, whenever we couldn’t be there, the nurses were by my aunt’s side, bringing laughter and smiles, and treating her like a cherished friend.

Their level of care was truly remarkable and deeply appreciated. Thank you to all the nurses at St. Christopher’s for the compassionate support you provided to my aunt and to our family during a difficult time.
